GETTING TO OTTAWA

BY PLANE
International airport: Ottawa Macdonald-Cartier International Airport (YOW).
The airport is located approximately 9.3 miles from Rogers Centre Ottawa (about 20 to 25 minutes depending on traffic).

  • Taxi or private hire vehicle: services available 24 hours a day at the terminal exits.
  • Public transportation: O-Train line 2, then transfer to line 1 (Confederation Line) to Rideau station.
  • Car rental: Several agencies are located at the airport.

BY TRAIN
Main station: Ottawa Station (VIA Rail Canada).

From the station, take the O-Train (Line 1) or a taxi (about 10 minutes) to downtown.

BY METRO (O-TRAIN)
Line 1 – Confederation Line, Rideau Station.
The Rogers Centre Ottawa is directly accessible from the station.

BY BUS
Several OC Transpo lines serve downtown Ottawa.
Stops in the immediate vicinity: Rideau, Mackenzie King, Nicholas.

BY CAR
From Montreal or west of Ottawa:
Highway 417, exit Nicholas Street/downtown, then follow signs to Rogers Centre Ottawa (Shaw Centre).

From the south (Ottawa Airport):
Airport Parkway, then Highway 417 East, Nicholas Street exit.

PARKING
The closest parking to the Rogers Centre Ottawa is a two-level underground parking garage with 730 spaces. It has three entrances located on Daly Avenue and South Nicholas Street.

GETTING TO GATINEAU

FROM OTTAWA AIRPORT

Taxi or rideshare: Services are available 24 hours a day outside the terminal exits.

Public transit: Take the O-Train Line 2, then transfer to Line 1 (Confederation Line) to Rideau Station.

Car rental: Several rental agencies are located at the airport.

BY TRAIN

Main station: Ottawa Station (VIA Rail Canada).

From the station, reach downtown by O-Train (Line 1) or by taxi (about 10 minutes).

BY METRO (O-TRAIN)

Line 1 – Confederation Line, Rideau, Lyon, or Parliament stations.

BY BUS

Several STO bus routes stop near or directly in front of the museum, including routes 21, 31, 33, 35, 67, and 77.

OC Transpo Route 8 also serves Gatineau.

BY CAR

The museum is located on the banks of the Ottawa River, directly across from Parliament Hill.

From Ottawa: Cross the Alexandra Bridge, the Portage Bridge, or the Macdonald-Cartier Bridge.

From Highway 5 (Gatineau): Follow signs for downtown and the Canadian Museum of History.

PARKING

The museum has a large underground parking garage. The entrance is on Laurier Street.

Four Level 2 charging stations (FLO network) are available on level P1.

Metered parking is also available on nearby streets in Gatineau.
